This 17 yard Bengkung Belly Wrap is dyed in a gradient the colors of purple to pink. It has hemmed edges to minimize fraying but the edge is left raw for that natural look. The cotton muslin can be machine washed and dried. Made from 100% cotton muslin, all wraps are handmade 9 inches wide. They’re just wide enough to fit well around the hips and back and unlike other materials they won't roll or bunch up.
Postpartum belly binding with this traditional Malaysian practice utilizes the pressure of bound fabric to pull in the hips and repair diastasis recti.

Hand made by Brittney and Cindy.
Note on washing: I recommend line drying your bind since 51 feet (17 yards) of fabric turns into a wrinkly, knotty mess in the dryer. Wear it over a tank or shirt and you'll have no need to wash often.
Q: When can I wrap?
A: Anytime, anywhere! Women, men, and even children can wrap.
Women should be wrapped as soon they can after birth, ideally on day five postpartum. The belly bind should be worn daily for 10-12 hours a day for at least 40 days or longer. Often women who use a belly bind after birth return to their own pre-pregnancy size in 6-8 weeks.
Had a cesarean birth? Women should wait at least 2-3 weeks until the incision is mostly healed before they are wrapped.
You may find it easy and comfortable to wrap at night while sleeping or during the day while doing household chores. Many women even wear our wraps out of the home
